Ezekiel is concerned with communal cleanliness, and the implications of complicity with sin. The parsha discusses the holiness code and how one addresses sin. Does the parsha ask: if I don’t do a thing, but my neighbor does, am I ok? Are consequences affected on individuals or communities? If we too are set loose in the wilderness, will we set free too?

Malachi asks the people to cease playing God for a fool. Does the parsha ask: what kind of person would do these abhorrent things? Is “you” Malachi’s answer?
